Progressive Christian Author and Spirituality Expert to Speak at World’s
Largest Gay Church Reece Manley Makes a Stop at Cathedral of Hope on January 10, 2010
Reece
W. Manley, DD, M.Ed., CSTF-M., will be signing copies of his books at the Cathedral of Hope on January 10, 2010. The Cathedral
of Hope is often referred to as the world’s biggest gay and lesbian church. The church is located in Dallas, Texas,
and is a congregation of the United Church of Christ.
Both books, Crossing Twice: Answers from the Source, winner
of Christian Book of the Year 2009, and Spirit Thinking: Your 30 Day Guide to Enlightenment, a Golden Halo winning work, will
be available for purchase at the Cathedral of Hope’s bookstore Sources of Hope.
“I’m honored
to have been asked to appear at the Cathedral of Hope. I love the Church and I believe in their compassion and inclusion,”
said Dr. Manley. “Anywhere the message of God’s love is being told is a place I can comfortably be at home.”
Dr. Manley’s work Crossing Twice will be featured at the Sources of Hope with its story of compassion and inclusion
as Dr. Manley crossed into the afterlife. “One thing I learned from that experience is not to limit God’s love.”
The Cathedral of Hope has been ministering to Dallas’ gay and lesbian Christians since 1989. It has grown from
twelve friends to thousands and thousands of members and attracts viewers and donations from around the world. The Cathedral
of Hope is a member of the United Church of Christ, one of the fastest growing denominations in the United States.
Reece Manley has been established as a spirituality expert and one of the better new Christian writers. His works focus
on progressive Christian beliefs and Christian living. “I’m especially advocating a way of life that helps one
walk with God on a personal daily basis. I want to change the way people feel about their relationships with their spirituality
and with their Creator. It should all be based on God’s Grace and Love,” says Dr. Manley.
The book
signing will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2010, from 9:30 to 1:30, at Cathedral of Hope at 5910 Cedar Springs Road in Dallas.
